Palm Cove elopements are pure magic. Soft sand, tropical breezes, and heartfelt moments framed by the sea. As a dedicated Palm Cove elopement photographer, I had the joy of capturing a beautiful beach elopement that brought together two souls, their daughter, their closest friends, and family for an unforgettable day.

Getting Ready: Calm Moments Before “I Do”

This elopement began with both partners getting ready in locations just minutes from the ceremony site. They chose to extend their 3-hour elopement package to include beautiful getting ready moments, perfect for telling the full love story of their day.

Their bridal party included two bridesmaids and one groomsman, supporting them with joy and laughter. Makeup was expertly done by Events Makeup and Hair Cairns — wedding hair and makeup services, whose attention to detail ensured everyone felt confident and camera-ready and Hair by the amazing Keely from Pinned Hair.

 

Beach Ceremony at Palm Cove

The ceremony took place right on the beach of Palm Cove. With about 80 guests gathered, the atmosphere was intimate. The couple chose to have their pastor officiate, creating a deeply personal and meaningful experience.

Walking down the aisle with the sound of waves in the background, their vows felt timeless and serene, a perfect match for this tropical setting.

Family Group Shots & Celebrations

After the ceremony, we captured a large group shot of all the guests, followed by ten smaller family group photos.

Portraits at the Northern End of Palm Cove

Once the formal shots were complete, we moved to the northern end of Palm Cove for portraits. This area offers beautiful scenery, including a striking tree with vibrant yellow flowers that added a splash of colour and romance to their photo collection.

The light was soft and flattering, perfect for capturing connection and joy, from candid laughs to tender embraces.

Finishing at the Famous Palms by NuNu

We wrapped the session down by the iconic palm trees near NuNu Restaurant, a local favourite spot that’s synonymous with Palm Cove elegance and tropical charm. These final images blended natural landscape with joyful energy, creating memories that are as timeless as the location itself.
