If you’re considering newborn photography in Cairns, you probably have plenty of questions. When should you book? How old should your baby be? What if your toddler won’t cooperate? What should everyone wear?
This complete guide answers everything you need to know about newborn photography in Cairns so you can feel confident and prepared for your session.

step one
Get in touch!
You’ve seen my work and love my natural approach to newborn photography. You’ve read the testimonials and would love to book. You can get in touch with me via my contact form, for further information or to book.

step two
You’re booked!
During the booking process you will receive a digital questionnaire. This covers things like; whether you’d like to use client wardrobe or have styling advice, any insecurities, how you plan to display your photos and more. You can also ask me anything to help you feel relaxed about our session together. You will receive my welcome magazine which covers everything from how to prepare, what to expect on the day, inspiration and more! A 20% deposit is required to secure your date.

step three
It’s session day!
I will meet you at your home in the morning and will gently guide you to make sure your photos feel like you. Your session will typically take 2-3 hours which allows plenty of time for feeding and cuddling and for any siblings to relax. I will capture this special time for you in a flattering and fun way, ensuring your comfort is at the forefront.
If you are borrowing from my client wardrobe, I will bring that along with me
the process
step four
You will receive a sneak peek from your session within 48 hours. From there, your gallery full of the special moments from our time together will be carefully curated, individually edited & uploaded to your online gallery.
If you have chosen a 20 image gallery, you will receive your preview gallery within two weeks to choose your favourites and if you have chosen the full gallery, you can expect to receive your photos within four weeks.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT?
I always tell people to wear something that feels like them and something they feel comfortable in. I do provide a client wardrobe if you would like to get dressed up, but if a dress doesn’t feel like you, I can recommend so many other beautiful options.

ALBUMS
One of the best ways to preserve your family photos is with an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a variety of linen & leather colours. Albums are modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on coffee tables.
All albums must be prepaid before design begins. Albums typically take between 4 to 6 weeks to complete and include two rounds of revision.
