I really loved photographing this session recently. Capturing this lovely family in the space where their story is unfolding, but when that space is about to change.
This beautiful in-home baby photography session here in Cairns was all about remembering the little things. The home they brought their daughter back to. The quiet corners that have already held so many firsts. Because while houses change… these moments deserve to be held onto.
At six months old, this sweet girl is right in that in-between stage. Full of curiosity, personality, and those heart-melting smiles.
We spent the morning simply documenting life as it is right now.
Her nursery beautifully decorated. Soft, thoughtful, and filled with so much love. These are the details that often get forgotten over time. The way her room looked, the tiny clothes folded away, the calmness of those early months. Photographing families at home means these details become part of their story forever.
They really wanted to remember how sleepy she looks when she wakes from her nap, playing on the playmate and reading stories and how messy she gets when she’s trying to feed herself her solids which she has just started.
They will be moving house soon so what a lovely way to remind themselves of such special times.
