I’m excited to share with you a newborn photoshoot with teenagers. Especially a lovely relaxed one at home like this one.
I actually had a bit of a ‘that’s so cool’ moment when I booked this one because not only was it a recommendation which I’m always so grateful for, it was a recommendation from another photographer, in a completely different state, that knew of my work. So that was my ‘I’ve made it’ moment for the century 😉
Cathie is someone who really values photos. As someone who is a Mum of teenagers, she knows how fast time goes. She did mention she was expecting the session date to be slightly chaotic because this baby is her fourth and she also knew her parents were going to be staying on their front lawn in their caravan.
But chaos is my middle name! I welcome it, and somehow the best galleries come from chaos!
She also warned me on the day of that one of her children did not like photos at all and the only ones I would get were if he wasn’t aware that there was a camera.
Well, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I think I did pretty well looking through their gallery 😝
Cathie also mentioned to me that her eldest would be leaving school soon and she wasn’t sure how much longer she would have all her children living under one roof.
With that in mind, I wanted to capture the traditional newborn photos but also the feeling of how home looks to her with all her children around her. Including morning tea in the caravan with Ma and Pop.
Hopefully I achieved that.
