Today I’m excited to share with you Chanelle and Nathans newborn photoshoot at home in Cairns.
I first met Chanelle and Nathan when they had their first daughter. As soon as I met them, it was clear to see they were going to make such beautiful parents. This was again confirmed when I visited their home recently to meet their second baby girl and a very proud (and newly promoted) big sister.
When you are photographing a newborn and a very young toddler together, timing is key. Chanelle was set to get changed into a dress from my studio wardrobe, so I asked if she could make sure Nathan and the two girls were ready to go when I arrived so I could make a start on sibling photos and the girlies with their Daddy.
This worked perfectly and there were lots of kisses for the new baby.
It can be hard to leave the house in the early days of giving birth, especially with a toddler in tow. This is what I love so much about a newborn photoshoot at home. We got all the essential photos with big sister, and then she happily had snacks and played with her toys so that I could get some photos of Chanelle and Nathan with their new baby girl. The relaxed and natural nature of my newborn photoshoots at home mean we have things done as quickly as we can, so everyone can go back to resting and recovering.
