Hands up if Christmas is your favourite time of year? Today I’m sharing ideas for your Christmas photoshoot in Cairns!
I think if you ask most parents, they will tell you that Christmas with children is one of the most magical times of year. It’s a time when extended family get together, milestones are measured (there’s a reason you can make entire business’ from ‘baby’s first Christmas’ stuff!) and memories parents want to last forever are made.
Dancing to Christmas music, baking, making a Christmas pud, crafts, movies, books, putting lights up outside, decorating the Christmas tree, wrapping presents (and watching their eyes light up as they unwrap), swimming in the pool (the advantage of Christmas in the southern hemisphere). There are so many fun things about Christmas with children.
However, I’m guessing there are heaps of photos of one parent in all of those memories, and not many of the other. (Or maybe it’s just the children on their own).
This year I’m offering family traditions as part of my Christmas photoshoots. Grab some snaps to use for your Christmas card, to frame, pop in an album (my fave) and send to family, but also have photos with the entire family in of all those beautiful memories.
Let your imagination run wild here. Who lifts up the child to pop the star on the tree? Do your children love helping get the boxes down from the roof? Do you all make gingerbread houses together with Michael Bublé playing in the background? Hands up who’s cannonballing into the pool in their Christmas swimmers?!
