I may be a little biased, but everyone needs to add having family photos on holiday in palm cove to their bucket list!
We are into making memories here at Lizzy Hannaford Photography! What better way to make memories than when you are on holiday in Far North Queensland.
Everyone is relaxed. There’s nowhere to be. No pressure to get up at a certain time (except when your kids decide it’s time to get up – no rest for the wicked!) It’s warm all year round and you can adventure as much or as little as you’d like!
When Alice first contacted me about booking family photos while she was on holiday in Palm Cove from Adelaide, I knew her and I were on the same page straight away. She wanted some natural, candid photos of her spending quality time with her Husband and their little boy. They were married in Palm Cove under the palm trees just recently, and were so looking forward to coming back for a holiday.
We chatted back and forth about ideas we both had – we discussed photos under the palms at Alamanda, where they got married, then I suggested they go for a swim in their hotel pool and have some tropical fruit for afternoon tea. Something that would really remind them of their holiday. Alice loved the idea and I was already excited!
It’s not often the entire family get to be present both in the memory making and the photos of said memories at the same time. Usually one parent is snapping the photos, while the other is having all the fun. They get home, and there are no photos of everyone enjoying their activities together.
The only family photos you get of yourself on holiday are selfies or an out of focus, poorly executed snap from a random passer by who kindly offers after watching you fumble with your tripod! (Hands up if that’s been you?!)
The bar was immediately set high for me in that Alice is an extremely talented photographer herself (no pressure, Lizzy). She’s exactly like me in that she had a vision and was very hopeful I shared and could execute her vision!
