Cairns Newborn Photographer | The Doi’s Newborn Session

Cairns Newborn Photographer | The Doi’s Newborn Session

I was so excited to meet Sarah and Ben’s new addition. I’ve photographed their family a few times now and they are so lovely.

The last time I photographed them was for Jake’s first birthday cake smash. He has grown so much since then!

Baby Taneil is just so beautiful and was so snuggly! I definitely got my fill of newborn snuggles for the day from her! She also really reminded me of my girls when they were born. (I don’t think I will ever get tired newborn cuddles as a newborn photographer!)

Sarah looked absolutely amazing considering she had only just given birth!

One of my favourite photos from their gallery is a real squishy one of Taneil. I love seeing how baby’s naturally get comfy into their ‘poses’ and she looks like some of the scan photos you see of baby’s. Also, doesn’t she just had the best cheeks?!

With my sessions, I am always led by baby (and any siblings who come along). On this particular day, while Jake was beautifully behaved, he just didn’t really want to be a part of family photos! I really don’t like to force children, and while I will always ‘push’ to make sure the family come away with something of them all together, I will never force a child to do something they don’t want to do. He was happy playing with his diggers and eating crackers and honestly, I think the few we got with him are still so special. (And yes, moments before their sibling photo, he was driving his digger over Taneil’s head!) 🙂

I’m, so excited to share their gallery with you and welcome baby Taneil to the world. Congratulations Sarah and Ben, I hope you love your photos as much as I do x
